Stay Where the Shore Begins.
124 rooms. One mile of private shoreline. Over a century of independent hospitality on the Jersey Cape.

The Rooms
124 rooms with original hardwood, brass fixtures that have outlived three presidents, and porches where the ocean is the only thing on your schedule. From $229.

The Table
The Beacon has served oysters at the same zinc bar since Prohibition. Heirloom plates at dusk, terrace seating May through October, and a wine list that tries harder than it needs to.

The Event
Three spaces for 20 to 250 guests. A ballroom with 22-foot ceilings, a boardroom that's seen better wallpaper, and a beach terrace where the Atlantic does all the decorating.

Why Cape May
Cape May is 90 minutes from Philadelphia and 2.5 hours from New York, but it runs on a different clock. Gas lamps, wooden sidewalks, and the largest collection of Victorian homes outside San Francisco. We're at the quiet end of the island — directly on the beach, a short walk from the historic district, and a long way from anything that beeps.
